The Job
Are you in love with technology? Do you enjoy exploring software, finding bugs and figuring out how to make things work better? Want to help build the next generation of video streaming across browsers, Smart TVs, mobile devices and XR headsets?
At Tiledmedia, we're building technology that powers immersive, interactive video experiences. Imagine watching the FIFA World Cup or the Olympic Games, switching between camera angles or experiencing the action in stunning 360° VR—all seamlessly synchronized and in ultra-high quality.
That's the future we're building!
What you'll do
You'll help ensure our Player SDK delivers reliable, high-quality streaming across a wide range of devices and platforms. Manual testing is the main focus, working closely with developers to identify bugs and improve quality, with some opportunities to contribute to test automation and DevOps.
You'll:
Test manually: Test our Player SDK across browsers, Smart TVs, mobile devices and XR headsets.
Find and investigate bugs: Explore edge cases, reproduce issues and document your findings.
Work with developers: Verify fixes and help improve software quality.
Improve testing: Develop test scenarios and contribute to automation where it makes sense.
Support DevOps: Help improve our CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Our tech stack includes Go, C/C++, TypeScript, AWS, Docker and video streaming technologies such as HLS and MPEG-DASH. You don't need to know everything, we value curiosity and a willingness to learn!
What we're looking for
You have a keen eye for detail, enjoy solving problems and aren't satisfied until you've figured out why something isn't working.
Ideally, you have:
Some experience with manual software testing and bug reporting.
An analytical mindset and an eye for edge cases.
An interest in test automation, scripting or programming.
An interest in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD or DevOps.
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
One or two years of professional experience is preferred, but recent graduates with relevant hands-on experience from internships or personal projects are welcome too.
Please note: We can currently only consider candidates who already have the right to work in the European Union.
Why you'll love working at Tiledmedia
We're a small, flat organization where everyone has a voice. You'll work alongside exceptionally smart colleagues, learn from their experience and have plenty of opportunities to grow.
Here's what you can look forward to:
30 vacation days every year.
A competitive salary based on your experience.
An initial one-year contract with the opportunity to become permanent.
A say in your equipment: have a say in the laptop, phone and tools you work with.
An international, English-speaking workplace with colleagues from more than nine nationalities.
Free daily lunch and excellent coffee.
A cool office with a game room and a 100-inch TV for the occasional Super Smash Bros. battle.
Monthly coffee walks with our CEO to share ideas and hear what's happening across the company.
Help finding housing if you're relocating to Rotterdam.
Regular company outings and trips.
No two weeks are the same. You might be testing a new Multiview experience one day and investigating a tricky playback issue with a developer the next. We take our technology seriously, but we also enjoy working together.
