As a scale- up company, we are growing steadily in both size and presence worldwide. We are looking for a dedicated engineer to join our test team as a Detector Test Engineer in our optics lab.
We are looking for a full-time engineer to be based at our headquarters in Delft.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As our Production Test Engineer (Detector Test Engineer), you will be responsible for the testing, characterization and validation of our detector chips, which are the core of our superconducting nanowire single photon detector (SNSPD) systems.
You will be joining an international and innovative environment and will be working in our Production Labs in Delft, alongside our team of physicists and engineers.
Your main tasks include:
- Perform optical and electrical characterization of SNSPDs by using a variety of lab equipment.
- Execute quality control and performance validation of our detectors and complete systems.
- Troubleshoot and investigate any issues that arise.
- Mount detectors and check the performance of the cryostats.
- Be a core part of the feedback cycle involving Mounting and Bonding, Nanofabrication, and System Testing teams to improve the quality and understanding of our detectors.
We are in the process of developing a more rigorous and automated fashion of testing. We will also ask you to contribute and assist with these processes in order to optimize and reduce testing time and thus further decrease production time and costs.
