About Us

QuantWare is the world's leading manufacturer of superconducting quantum hardware. As a hyper-growth scale-up with a global customer base, our mission is to accelerate the advent of the quantum computer. We push the boundaries of what's possible in our field. We work on making the world’s largest quantum processors as fast as possible.

At QuantWare, we’re not just producing quantum hardware for the hyperscalers of tomorrow; we’re working on technology that will change the world. To make that ambition a reality, we need exceptional people who drive real impact. That’s where you come in.

As an AIT Engineer, you will assemble, integrate, and test quantum hardware prototypes, perform quality control measurements, and oversee the management of subcomponents. You will work closely with design, fabrication, and testing teams to ensure that prototypes are delivered on time, documented correctly, and meet required quality standards.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assemble and integrate quantum hardware prototypes, following engineering drawings and assembly procedures.

  • Planning and performing functional, electrical and mechanical tests at subsystem and device level;

  • Manage subcomponents for prototypes: ensure availability, quality, and proper documentation.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve assembly or integration issues.

  • Maintain and service assembly and test equipment (mechanical, electrical, vacuum, RF, cryogenic as applicable).

  • Customize or optimize tools, jigs, fixtures, and assembly setups to improve throughput, reliability, and ergonomics.

  • Maintain detailed records of assembly steps, tests, and results.

  • Support automation and software-assisted testing processes (Python, or similar).

  • Ensure adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of assembly, testing, and documentation processes.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s preferred.

  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience in prototype assembly, integration, and testing, ideally in quantum technology, cryogenics, semiconductor, space, or medical device industries.

  • Experience with DC/RF testing, instrumentation, and quality control procedures.

  • Familiarity with CAD tools for assembly and component design.

  • Proficiency in Python or similar for automation and testing.

  • Comfort modifying hardware setups: machining simple parts, tweaking fixtures, adjusting alignment, or hacking together clever workholding solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing components and documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in cryogenic hardware assembly or vacuum systems.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes or quantum device technologies.

  • Exposure to cleanroom protocols and safety standards.

  • Familiarity with version-controlled documentation systems and project management tools.
