About Us
QuantWare is the world's leading manufacturer of superconducting quantum hardware. As a high growth start-up with a global customer base, our mission is to accelerate the advent of the quantum computer. We push the boundaries of what's possible in our field. We work on making the world’s largest quantum processors, as fast as possible.
At QuantWare, we’re not just producing quantum hardware for the hyperscalers of tomorrow; we’re working on technology that will change the world. To make that ambition a reality, we need exceptional people who drive real impact. That’s where you come in.
We are looking for a Fabrication Engineer to support our quantum device production within our Operations team. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the processes that turn design into reality. You will operate, optimize, and maintain fabrication equipment used to produce our superconducting devices. Your work ensures high-quality, reproducible results and enables the scaling of our production.
What you’ll be doing
Wafer-scale fabrication/Tool operation: Operate and take ownership of specific cleanroom processes (e.g., sputtering, etching, evaporation) and ensure they remain in optimal condition for superconducting device.
Process development: Work closely with R&D to transfer and standardize new fabrication processes for production.
Yield improvement: Collect and analyze process data to identify root causes and improve fabrication yield and reproducibility.
Documentation & standardization: Maintain clear process documentation, recipes, and SOPs to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
Your profile
Experience in an industrial or academic cleanroom.
Basic knowledge of semiconductor or superconducting device fabrication.
Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate effectively across R&D and production teams.
Organized & detail-oriented, able to document your work clearly and follow established procedures.
The match would be really perfect if, on top of this, you also have;
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical or engineering field (e.g., physics, electrical engineering, materials science).
An open, transparent feedback style and willing to engage in constructive discussions.
Interest in process optimization or scaling production workflows.
What We Offer
