You grow and safeguard Coolblue’s Google Cloud Platform by building secure, scalable and easy-to-use platform foundations. You design the building blocks that product and data teams rely on every day. You keep things automated, reliable and simple, even when the architecture behind it is complex.

What does a Google Cloud Engineer at Coolblue do?

At Coolblue, Google Cloud is more than hosting; it is the foundation for data, applications, analytics and new services. As part of our Cloud Platform team, you own and evolve our Terraform-based Landing Zone, CI/CD architecture and cloud governance model. You ensure that development teams can deploy safely and independently, while maintaining strong security and cost control.

  • Designing and maintaining reusable Terraform modules for multi-project GCP environments.
  • Improving and safeguarding our CI/CD setup (Atlantis, Cloud Build, Github Integrations).
  • You understand BigQuery as a platform component and enjoy optimizing it
  • Developing and streamlining our IaC (Pulumi, Infrastructure Manager)
  • Strengthening IAM governance, policies and least-privilege models across the organization.
  • Improving container security (image scanning, signing, enforcement).
  • Writing Python Applications to add up to our GCP toolkit
  • Simplifying platform architecture and reducing technical debt.
  • Acting as a sparring partner for your team and stakeholders in architectural discussions.
  • Mentoring colleagues and reviewing designs and code.

You recognize yourself in the following

  • You have strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform in production environments.
  • You have deep experience with Terraform and designing infrastructure abstractions at scale.
  • You understand cloud governance, IAM models and security best practices.
  • You have built or significantly improved CI/CD pipelines.
  • You think in systems, not tickets.
  • You take ownership of platform components across their full lifecycle.
  • You communicate clearly with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
