What you’ll do

As a Battery Technician/Engineer, you’ll play a key role in making sure our new materials work just as they should. You’ll work alongside other engineers and technicians to help improve our materials and processes.

Based on your expertise you will be assigned to one of these two functions below:

Option 1 – Slurry / Electrode Focus

In this function, you will work on:

  • Slurry mixing, rheology, finess & solid content measurements

  • Electrode coating & calendering

  • Electrode quality control & characterization

Option 2 – Cell Assembly Focus

In this function, you will work on:

  • Cell assembly (coin / SLP)

  • Battery testing & data processing

  • Post-mortem analysis

Regardless of the focus, your main responsibilities will also include:

  • Maintain the lab: Keep our equipment running smoothly and safely – and make sure we follow the right procedures.

  • Quality control: make sure that results are precise and accurate, write and/or amend procedures.

  • Conduct detailed observations & making comprehensive reports: ensure clarity, maintenance, and continuous performance improvement.

  • Collaborate with the team: Work closely with engineers and technicians to solve problems and improve processes.

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, loves working with new technologies, and is excited about the future of energy. If you’re curious, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with a team, you’ll fit right in.

Here’s what we’re hoping you bring:

· MBO, HBO or Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar.

· At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a battery lab environment. Experience from pilot or commercial scale battery production is less relevant.

· Expert skills in one or more of the following areas: slurry making, coating, calendaring, SLP assembly.

· Proven expertise in performing various laboratory tests and analyses.

· Understanding quality control methodologies, with the ability to identify deviations from standards and ensure products meet safety, performance, and reliability requirements.

· Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.

· Patience in performing repetitive tasks with high precision and attention to detail.

· Team player: You enjoy working closely with others to reach a shared goal.
