The role as Technical Lead
As the Technical Lead for our Fintech-SmartPay team, you'll spearhead innovation alongside four talented engineers. Further, you'll collaborate with team members, partnering closely with our Team Manager, Product Manager, and UX Designer to elevate both our team and product.
You'll have an impactful role in evolving our product in the purchase-to-pay stream and within e-conomic platform, by directing the technical vision and developing robust, future-proof solutions that are in line with our business objectives.

What you'll be doing
🚀 Lead by example
Be hands-on software development alongside your team, participating in coding, code reviews, pair programming, tackling technical challenges, and offering necessary guidance.
⚙️ Take technical ownership
Be accountable for the technical aspects within your team, owning components and services while identifying and addressing issues related to neighbouring services or components.
🧭 Set the direction
Define the technical direction and contribute to strategic decisions impacting your team, advising on process and contributing to technical documentation (technical design documents, ADRs).
🌐 Drive adaption
Promote and drive the adoption of technical solutions by effectively communicating with stakeholders and engaging in knowledge-sharing forums across e-conomic.
🤝 Team collaboration
Work closely with the Team Manager, Product Manager, and Product Designer, providing engineering perspective on the feasibility and viability of new features.
🌱 Mentor
Mentor, guide and coach the developers in their careers, acting as a force multiplier for the team and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Join in our non-work-related team moments by gathering in our "team lounge" zone for casual conversations and engaging in online fun activities.
Horizontally, you'll collaborate with other Technical Leads, Team Managers, or engineering roles on planning dependencies and cross-team initiatives. Your reporting line will be to the Team Manager of the product team.
While direct people management isn't expected, you'll closely collaborate with your Team Manager to establish a technical pathway that supports individual growth. Moreover, you'll contribute to fostering an environment that empowers and facilitates the development of a high-performing team.
We hope your skills include:
👉 Proven leadership experience
Previous experience leading engineering teams in roles such as role Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or similar is a must.
👉 Technical proficiency
Demonstrated expertise in .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, SQL, React/TypeScript.
👉 Architectural vision
Demonstrated experience in designing architectural solutions or system components.
👉 Project management prowess
Demonstrated overseeing, guiding, and coordinating technical projects and cross-teams strategic initiatives.
👉 A proactive approach
Skilled at driving initiatives forward and delivering results, all while fostering collaborative teamwork and maintaining a positive work culture.
👉 Agile expertise
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies, with a deep understanding and embodiment of its principles and mindset.
👉 Holistic perspective
Ability to navigate work networks and approach challenges from a holistic viewpoint.

SmartPay is a key component of the e-conomic platform and represents a pivotal shift for managing supplier invoices and payments. It streamlines the entire process from invoice receipt to payment and bookkeeping, ensuring businesses can concentrate on their core mission without dealing with different financial systems. It saves time, reduces mistakes, and can even save money on international transactions, accommodating a broad spectrum of needs from solo entrepreneurs to complex accounting operations.

The recruitment process

1. Initial chat with Hanne (Talent Acquisition Partner) ~ 30 min.
2. First interview with Oana (Team Manager and Hiring Manager) and Hanne ~ 75 min.
You'll receive a technical case for you to prepare a bit.
3. Second interview with Iosif (Senior Software Developer in the team) and Henrik (Architect) ~ 120 min.
You'll receive a personality test for you to complete.
4. Third interview with Oana and Hanne where you'll receive feedback on your test ~ 60 min.
