As an Account Executive at Virtual Vaults, you are a:

You operate at the center of strategic transactions where decisions carry real impact and execution matters. You do not sell features alone. You help clients gain control over complex deal processes through a platform designed to support preparation, collaboration, communication, and deal execution across the full transaction lifecycle. Your work directly contributes to:

  • Revenue growth

Your role

You own the full commercial cycle: from building pipeline to closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals. You operate with structure, discipline and commercial maturity. You understand that strong commercial execution is built on qualification quality, stakeholder alignment, clear next steps and predictable forecasting. You do not rely on intuition alone. You build:

  • Predictable pipeline

You work with senior stakeholders across private equity, corporate finance, legal and corporate environments. You understand their deal dynamics, risks, timelines and decision-making processes, and position Virtual Vaults as a strategic partner throughout the transaction lifecycle. You operate within a structured commercial framework, using proven methodologies such as Winning By Design and SPICED to build scalable and predictable growth.

This role is based in our Rotterdam office because coaching, collaboration and performance culture are central to how we operate.

What will you be doing?

Prospecting & new business

You actively create opportunities rather than waiting for them to appear. You identify and engage high-value accounts across Europe with focus and intent. Together with the Head of Sales, BDRs and marketing, you build a consistent and predictable pipeline through outbound activity, network and thoughtful execution. You take ownership not only of closing deals, but also of creating sustainable commercial momentum.

Discovery & qualification

You lead structured discovery conversations that go beyond surface-level qualification. You understand:

  • Deal context

  • Urgency

  • Risk

  • Stakeholder dynamics

  • Decision-making processes

  • Economic buyer alignment

  • Stakeholder mapping

  • Procurement and approval flows

You know how to navigate complex buying environments, build multi-threaded relationships and maintain momentum throughout longer enterprise sales cycles. You qualify thoroughly, manage next steps proactively and focus your time on the opportunities where we can create the most strategic value.

You translate complexity into meaningful business impact. You position Virtual Vaults as:

Deal strategy & closing

You lead complex sales cycles with ownership, structure and commercial maturity. You:

  • Map stakeholders and influence networks

  • Align with economic buyers

  • Maintain deal momentum under pressure

  • Manage forecast accuracy and deal visibility

You maintain control throughout the full enterprise sales cycle and know how to create alignment across multiple stakeholders in high-stakes environments.

High-level relationship management

You build credibility with senior stakeholders and become a trusted point of contact during high-pressure deal situations. You are not simply viewed as a vendor, but as a reliable commercial and strategic partner.

You will also represent Virtual Vaults at international industry events, conferences and networking sessions across Europe. This includes:

  • Building relationships with clients and prospects

  • Expanding your network within the M&A ecosystem

  • Identifying commercial opportunities

  • Hosting meetings with clients and partners

  • Occasionally presenting or speaking about our platform and market vision

You enjoy being visible in the market and helping strengthen Virtual Vaults’ international presence.

Collaboration

You work closely with the Head of Sales and other departments to continuously improve pipeline quality, conversion and commercial execution. We believe strong commercial performance is built together, not in silos.

BDR mentorship & development

You contribute actively to the growth of the wider commercial team. You support BDRs through:

  • Coaching

Experience
  • 3–10 years in SaaS, M&A or complex B2B sales

  • Experience with high-stakes or multi-stakeholder sales is a strong plus

What we offer

Compensation
  • Base salary: €3.500 – €6.000

  • OTE with uncapped commission

  • Typical split: 60/40 or 70/30 (base/variable) depending on experience and role scope

  • Exceptional earnings upside for top performers
