Company Description

At Sana Commerce, we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment because we know our diverse workforce is one of our greatest strengths.

What started in 2007 with a pizza and a plan has grown into a fast-moving SaaS company that helps manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers thrive in B2B commerce complexity.

Our mission? To transform the way businesses buy and sell, so they can grow, build stronger relationships, and make the most of digital commerce. Join us and take ownership of your career in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Sana Commerce has a global product team with members from all over the world. In the past years, we have worked hard to be named “Niche player” in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce of 2022 and 2023. For our future growth, we are looking for a Product Manager Growth and Retention, who takes our product to the next level by creating the opportunities to bring the most complex products and channels of B2B-commerce of our target customers online. Our customers choose us for excellent digital B2B commerce support and our handling of complex products and commercial channels.

Our customers are B2B-commerce businesses who are looking to bring their complex B2B product business online. Either for the first time, or as seasoned online veterans, they are similarly looking for ways to engage with their buyers online and to expand their market and revenue. Their challenge is to translate their complex products and distribution channels to a digital environment in a cost effective and scalable way. Furthermore, as their business is changing and expanding, their digital commerce solution should grow in lockstep.

Our goal is to deliver an e-commerce solution that grows revenue while reducing costs of being online. We aim to get businesses online in market beating time and help them grow their e-commerce maturity over time.

As Product Manager – Foundation Services, you’ll be building the plumbing that keeps everything running — the services other teams rely on to deliver value to end users. It’s work that often goes unnoticed when done well, but is mission-critical to the company’s success.

As Product Manager – Foundation Services, you’ll be building the plumbing that keeps everything running — the services other teams rely on to deliver value to end users. It’s work that often goes unnoticed when done well, but is mission-critical to the company’s success.

We are hiring a Seasoned Technical Product Manager to join an existing, mature product team consisting of 10 members (multi-disciplinary FE + BE). This team is responsible for foundation services that enable our buyer and seller journeys and experiences. For example, roles and permissions, security services, workflow services, CMS capabilities, templating engines, etcetera. These are the systems that other product teams depend on — and you’ll be the one driving their evolution.

You’ll drive the vision and delivery of highly reusable, scalable platform components that are used by other teams across the product. This role is critical in enabling internal teams to move faster and in making our platform secure, extensible, and efficient. It requires strong technical insight, an eye for abstractions, and a passion for building things "under the hood" that have broader impact.

If you’re the kind of product manager who loves getting your hands dirty with technical systems, who can zoom in and out from architecture discussions to roadmap trade-offs, and who gets satisfaction from enabling others — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for foundational product services, balancing long-term vision with near-term deliverables.
  • Lead product discovery, development and delivery for internal platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate deeply with engineering to build technically complex, scalable, and secure services tailored for buyers and sellers.
  • Work with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, and architecture to ensure your services meet current and future needs.
  • Ensure the product is intuitive and efficient by leveraging development tools (e.g., sorting, filtering).
  • Advocate for new ideas and continuous improvements.
  • Balance high-level product strategy with detailed technical understanding.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar Product Management role.
  • Previous experience working in a mature, cross-functional team.
  • Experience with building platform services for a SaaS product.
  • Strong collaboration skills with developers and QA automation teams.
  • Self-driven and proactive, yet a team player who follows through.
  • Ability to advocate for new ideas and communicate them effectively
  • Ability to think strategically while managing the day-to-day details of your roadmap.
  • Hands-on experience with development tools and processes that enhance team efficiency.
  • Proficient in performance, security, extensibility, compliance.
  • Background in engineering role is a plus.

What you'll get:

  • A hybrid working model - 3 days from the office, 2 days from home;
  • Up to 3 weeks “work from anywhere” per year;
  • A global and customized team onboarding program (9,1/10 rated by previous new hires);
  • Thursday lunch on us (toasties, sandwiches, salads).

What’s in it for you?

  • Personal development. We believe that as our company grows, our people should be able to grow with us. We value learning and development opportunities for all our employees. So, from learning on the job to trainings and coaching, it’s all there. Together with your manager you are in charge of your own personal growth.

  • Onboarding and buddy program. It’s always quite new and exciting to start your next adventure. We value a strong onboarding. You will be joining our general onboarding, will be introduced to a buddy and will get a role specific onboarding as well.

  • Entrepreneurial environment. We are a fast-growing international scale-up organization in software. We encourage initiatives and ideas from our people. We like to accomplish things together as a team.

  • Health and well-being. We believe that every employee should be at their best. So, we like to help a little bit with that, physically and mentally. In our offices we have fresh fruits available, we offer weekly bootcamp sessions and we offer several workshops focused on health and wellbeing for our people.

  • Extra benefits: We offer flexible working hours, Friday afternoon drinks in our very own bar (bi-monthly themed versions of this including dinner), table tennis, monthly chair massages, Wednesdays toastie lunch and many more. Interested to learn more? Check our employee guide!
