Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end readiness of the Device Under Test (DUT), from mechanical assembly to electrical configuration and instrumentation, ensuring the integrated system meets all technical specifications prior to laboratory dispatch.
- Create and execute test plans designed to meet, design specifications, MIL-STD-810 and NATO STANAG standards.
- Perform root-cause analysis on structural/mechanical failures and/or electrical degradation during test campaigns.
- Interpret complex sensor data (accelerometers, thermal probes) and translate raw lab results into clear, actionable feedback for the R&D design teams.
- Act as the primary technical contact for external test laboratories, ensuring they have the correct instructions, equipment, and parameters to execute the tests.
- Analyze the raw data and formal reports provided by the test lab, evaluate whether the system met the pass/fail criteria, and write the final internal conclusion.
- Consolidate test logs and raw data into formal reports, ensuring 100% traceability back to the original requirements.
Technical expertise:
- A degree in Engineering: BSc/MSc in a relevant field with a strong focus on Mechanics or Electromechanics.
- Industry experience: 3–5 years in V&V or Test Engineering roles. We specifically value experience with integrated hardware-software systems (e.g., Radar, Robotics, or Aerospace).
- Standards expertise: A proven ability to interpret and apply MIL-STD-810, NATO STANAG, and CE standards to hardware qualification.
- Campaign management: A strong background in managing Thermal, Vibration, Shock, and EMC test campaigns at external facilities.
- Strong skills in physical assembly, instrumentation, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for hardware failures.
- Experience using FEA or thermal simulation software to predict hardware stress, alongside proficiency in industry-standard tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
- A sharp attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable feedback for non-specialist stakeholders.
- You thrive in fast-paced, scale-up environments where priorities can shift and quick, effective decisions are required. You bring the interpersonal skills to remain calm under pressure and the ability to communicate in a constructive, solution-oriented manner when navigating complex technical challenges.
