Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will essentially perform professional accounting work and collaborate with our friendly finance team and external advisors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research using primary data sources to analyze key financial themes and trends.

• Deliver prescribed outcomes for designated financial control areas within established systems.

• Provide support and advice to help others maximize the use of data management systems.

• Support the preparation of data and analytics reports, including the annual financial audit.

• Prepare complex documents and summarize data for special reports using standard office applications.

• Resolve internal and external queries regarding complex processes, policies, and supplier information.

• Contribute to the development of financial policies and protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Identify and escalate instances of non-compliance with organizational policies or regulatory codes.

• Manage accurate payroll processing, including data maintenance, manual payments, and reconciliations.

Requirements

• BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related field;

• 5+ years of solid experience as an Accountant or relevant role within the Finance team;

• Strong knowledge of accounting, tax and financial reporting principles and practices and regulations;

• Mandatory in-depth understanding of Dutch labor law, wage taxes, social security categories, and industry-specific CAOs;

• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Dutch;

• Excellent knowledge of advanced Excel reporting and familiarity with ERP systems;

• Experience in Payroll Administration (PDL®) and technical proficiency with Dutch-specific payroll software such as NMBRS, AFAS, or ADP;

• Attention to detail and analytical acumen;

• Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required.
