DevOps Engineer
Robin Radar Systems
As a DevOps Engineer at Robin Radar, you will build the systems that deliver our software directly onto radar hardware. You’ll focus on automating these deployments to make our production process faster and more consistent. By reducing manual steps, you’ll help us scale our output and ensure our radar systems are always running the most up-to-date, high-performance software.
You’ll be a core member of the DevOps team within our R&D department. You’ll report to a Team Lead who provides technical guidance and helps remove blockers so you can focus on building reliable infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain our DevOps infrastructure used to test and deploy our software on our radar products in a structured, efficient and fully automated way.
Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce complexity and manual intervention in system operations.
Ensure systems are secure by enabling automated security checks and integrating security controls, tools and processes into the workflow.
Develop and perform tests to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of applications and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance performance, security and reduce operational bottlenecks.

Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and tools.
Requirements
Technical Expertise:
BA/MSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
Over 3 years of experience in DevOps or similar role.
Expert on Linux (Ubuntu) operating system.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket and Jira.

Proficiency in:
Scripting languages (Python, Bash or similar);
Infrastructure-as-code tools (mainly Ansible, but also Terraform, Helm Argocd);
Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMWare).
Expertise in containerizing high-performance native apps using Docker multi-stage builds to manage OS dependencies and deliver optimized, slim production images.
Hands-on experience with PXE network installations of on-premise bare metal systems.
Strong understanding of IP networks and how to configure, monitor and secure them, as well as system administration.
Collaboration and Mindset:
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills.
Be proactive and implement improvements and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
A team player who can also work independently and with the ability to communicate well across cultures and backgrounds.
You are flexible and know how to tackle a fast-growing and changing company like Robin;
Good organizational and time management skills.
Good communication skills in English, and it would be great if you speak Dutch as well.
Live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from The Hague.
