In Reboocon Bionics, we develop wearable robots for people with mobility impairment. We help amputees and paraplegics to stand up and walk again. We achieve this by pushing robotic technology beyond its limit. For example, currently we are developing robotic joints which have extremely high power- and torque-density, which are extremely energy-efficient, with ultra-intelligent algorithms to cope with the diversity and dynamics of the environment and to facilitate fluent human-machine interaction. Over the past six years, Shiqian Wang, the founder of Reboocon Bionics, has accumulated rich knowledge in the design and testing of wearable robots. Shiqian was one of the main developers of European FP7 projects Mindwalker and Symbitron. In 2016, Shiqian founded Reboocon Medtech Co., Ltd in Suzhou, China and Reboocon Bionics B.V. in Delft, the Netherlands. Soon after the establishment, venture capital and industrial investors invested in this company.
