We have a hybrid working set up and therefore you will be required to attend our Stockholm office minimum twice per week.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer with a strong technical background, experience working with high-loaded systems, and an understanding of the common challenges and features of such systems.
In this role, you'll focus on pure backend development, creating new features, refactoring existing functionality, and focusing on improvements in project architecture and modularity while advancing the project in terms of quality, performance, and scalability.
You will join our Core team, which consists of seven PHP developers and two QA members working together.
In our project ecosystem, apart from PHP services, we also have services built with Java, so you will have the opportunity to work with new technologies and learn new skills.
What you’ll be doing
Working in a self-managing team based on Agile principles.
Implementing new features and maintaining existing functionality in our services built with pure PHP.
Refactoring the codebase to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
Participating in planning, discovering solutions, and initiating and driving innovations and improvements.
Taking part in decision-making and implementation processes related to system architecture.
What you’ll bring to the team
6+ years of experience in PHP development.
Strong knowledge of architecture patterns, performance optimization, and scalability principles.
Skills in developing high-performance, scalable systems.
Experience and understanding of high-loaded systems, along with the related challenges and features.
Passion for technical excellence and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
Strong set of soft skills, including effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, ability to clearly articulate ideas and solutions.
Excellent English, both spoken and written.
The WOW-factor
Knowledge of Java and Cloud technologies is a plus.
You enjoy working in a highly independent cross-functional team with a never-ending drive to deliver great software, focusing on performance, maintainability, and usability.
