About the role

As a Competitive Analyst, you will be responsible for providing critical insights into sales, marketing, product teams and executive management. The intelligence that you provide will accelerate the sales process, drive compelling marketing campaigns and inform our future product direction. The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand the commercial and technological implications of the competitive landscape.

You will collect and analyse competitive intelligence and summarise your findings into actionable insights before presenting them to relevant stakeholders. You will also be involved in tactical projects, such as assisting with individual sales opportunities and research projects to help the product teams with specific product decisions. We have a hybrid working set up and therefore you will be required to attend our London office twice per week.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identify and conduct a comprehensive analysis of key competitors, including their products, services, pricing strategies, market positioning, strengths, weaknesses and key differentiators.

  • Monitor and track market trends, market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify potential opportunities and threats within the competitive landscape.

  • Determine the strategic positioning of competitors and assess the potential impact on our business.

  • Assist with creating competitive responses to address potential threats and maximise opportunities, including product messaging enhancements, product feature suggestions and new marketing campaign proposals.

  • Prepare and present concise and insightful reports, presentations and dashboards for senior management to highlight key competitive insights, trends and actionable recommendations.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Proven experience in competitive analysis, market research or strategy consulting within the technology sector.

  • Strong ability to collect, organise and analyse information from various sources to extract meaningful insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful, actionable insights for various stakeholders, including sales, product, marketing and executive teams.

  • Experience working across different geographies and cultures with the ability to understand different regional regulations.

  • Ability to work with various stakeholders to provide them with the required level and type of insights.

  • Ability to prioritise projects based on business requirements.

  • Degree in business, marketing, information technology or a related field.
