QphoX is looking for a scientist or engineer to join us in developing and building our next generation of quantum transducers. In this role the successful applicant will aid the production of our world-leading optical interfaces and propel transduction technology forward via development of novel packaging techniques and identification of performance improvements.

You will be involved in:

• Optical and microwave characterizations of devices
• Analyzing and interpreting results to drive improvements to future devices
• Developing new optical and microwave packaging interfaces
• Constructing, streamlining, and automating measurement techniques and setups
• Solving technical and engineering challenges and communicating your results
• Working in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientist

Skills and knowledge you will bring to QphoX:

• An MSc with a background in physics, applied physics, optics, electrical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering or related field
• Project experience in an experimental laboratory
• Programming experience in python or similar language
• Experience working with optics or photonics
• An organized and rigorous working style
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Ability to solve problems and find creative solutions
• Ability to think ahead and focus on improvement
• Experience working with MEMS devices and/or RF electronics is a big plus
• Background in quantum physics is not required
