Quantum Photonics Engineer/Scientist (D/F/M)

QphoX is looking for a Quantum Photonics Engineer/Scientist to join us in developing and building integrated nonlinear photonics devices. To achieve our mission, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates with scientific skills and resourcefulness.

With access to cutting-edge methodologies and state-of-the-art tools, our laboratory team works in our recently expanded and fully operational laboratory to characterize devices, perform experiments and find the next generation of improvements to propel our technology forward.
You will be involved in:
- Measurements and characterization of integrated photonics devices
- Quantum optics experiments
- Analysing, summarizing, and sharing your results
- Solving technical and engineering challenges
- Working in collaboration with fabrication, measurement and simulation scientists and engineers
Skills and knowledge you will bring to QphoX:
- MSc or PhD graduate with a background in physics, quantum optics, integrated photonics, or related field
- 3-5 years of lab experience
- Experience with design, simulation, and measurement of integrated photonics devices
- Good understanding of quantum and nonlinear optics
- Programming with Python for data acquisition, measurement and analysis
- Experience with Git version control
- Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers, scientists and technicians with a wide range of expertise
- Good organizational and planning skills to achieve set goals on time
Quick to learn new techniques for different tools
Supplementary skills set:
- Experienced with FDTD or frequency domain optical simulation software’s (e.g. COMSOL, ANSYS Lumerical, MEEP)
- Nanofabrication experience

You would be excited to work at the intersection between engineering, experimental physics, and measurements. Additionally, you ideally have performed experiments in the laboratory and will apply your education to new developments in quantum physics.
