​ABOUT THE JOB
Qlayers is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer or CNC/3D printer enthusiast to join our team and explore the world of microstructure production.

As a Mechatronics Engineer you will be responsible for the development of a new prototype machine for the application of microstructures for drag reduction on aircraft. This prototype will be used to produce microstructures samples for wind tunnel tests on the performance of riblets. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a team of talented professionals.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design and build a new machine for the production of medium-large scale micro structured surfaces
• Perform experimental research with this machine and test its performance.
• Test microstructure surfaces under deformation.

Whom are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate has the following characteristics:

• Bachelors Degree in a technical field
• Experience with CNC machines (laser cutters, 3D printers, milling machines, etc.)
• Practical Experience with prototype design and production
• CAD design skills preferably in SolidWorks/Fusion 360
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently
• Passion for technology and innovation
