ABOUT THE JOB
Qlayers is seeking a Material Scientist to explore the world of coating applications on thermoplastic composite aerospace parts.
As a Material Scientist you will be responsible for getting a deeper understanding of how the current market is operating and how the coating application can contribute and fit the current evolution in a more sustainable aerospace industry. This research goes hand in hand with lab testing that at a later stage will serve as input for our researchers and engineers. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a team of talented professionals.

Your key responsibilities:
- Explore the current aerospace market and get a deeper understanding of the current way of working
- Perform experimental research that will serve as input for researchers and engineers
- Record test data and analyze results
- Work together with a business analyst to define the best go to market strategy.
WHOM WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Our ideal candidate has the following characteristics:
- Bachelors Degree in a technical field / coating inspector background
- Polymer science background
- Experience with quality testing equipment and procedures for coatings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for technology and innovation.
