Project Manager
Qblox
What will you do?
At Qblox, we are operating at the frontier of the quantum revolution. Our team of 100+ scientists and engineers is pushing the boundaries of physics to build scalable, low-latency qubit control equipment—the "brain" of the quantum computer.
As we scale toward 1,000+ qubits and beyond, the complexity of our hardware, firmware, and software development isn't just growing—it’s accelerating. We aren’t just looking for someone to manage a timeline; we are looking for a project leader who can operate as the connective tissue between deep-tech domain experts, ensuring that cutting-edge R&D translates into industrial-scale products.
At Qblox, Project managers are responsible for the successful execution of hardware, firmware, and software development projects. Operating as part of a larger solutions program, you will work with a team of R&D domain experts to establish and manage deadlines, define attackable units of work, and ensure cross-domain communications, enabling our scientists to focus on innovation while you handle the roadmap.
In a typical week, you will:
Orchestrate the Chaos: Lead project scrum cycles, manage Jira boards, and minimize blocking interdependencies to keep the momentum high.
Be the "Truth" Holder: Maintain product and technical requirements as the ultimate project "truth," ensuring everyone is building toward the same vision.
Bridge the Gaps: Proactively find where the process is breaking down—whether it's a cross-domain communication lag or a "known unknown" risk—and fill it.
Manage Partnerships: Hold subcontractors accountable and work closely with the Program Manager to adapt deliverables for project success.
Job requirements
Enough about us, what about you?
In order to really enjoy this role, we imagine you will have a background encompassing the following:
The Engineering Mindset: You likely hold a degree in STEM or Business, but more importantly, you have a first-principles approach to problem-solving. You aren’t intimidated by digital design, RF, or embedded engineering concepts.
Proven Delivery: You have at least 4 years of experience managing complex projects. If some of that was in hardware development, you’ll find yourself right at home here.
Tool Mastery: You know Jira and Confluence inside and out. You don't just use these tools; you use them to drive accountability and clarity.
Radical Transparency: You communicate openly and often. You aren’t afraid to convey bad news early or ask the "stupid" questions that unblock a team.
Ownership: You take ownership of failure as a learning opportunity and are the first to praise the team for success.
