You have a completed university degree in Dutch Law or a related area such as Information Law.
You can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
You have excellent knowledge of privacy legislation, especially in the realm of personal data protection (including the General Data Protection Regulation, implementing regulations, policy documents of the Dutch Data Protection Authority, and relevant jurisprudence/regulations).
You showcase familiarity with general civil law and corporate legal practice in a broad sense.
You have 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience, such as a company lawyer, legal adviser, and/or in the legal profession.
You have a collaborative spirit, regularly teaming up with colleagues from various departments and disciplines (e.g., Sales and Product Management) and love sharing knowledge within the organization.
You are enthusiastic as a person, with a strong sense of responsibility, proactive and flexible attitude, both towards the customer and within the team.
You act as a critical interlocutor at various levels, displaying integrity, accuracy, and a solution-oriented mindset.
You embody an analytical nature, able to actualise organisation-wide projects, identify opportunities for improvement, and follow through with action.
Tasks and responsibilities
As an integral part of our team, you support the Legal Counsel in advising management and colleagues on various general corporate legal questions and problems. You will: tackle contract queries and mastering General Terms and Conditions, assess contract documents during tender procedures with a keen eye, navigate liability claims and insurance policy analyses, address an array of general corporate law questions with ingenuity.
You collaborate with the Legal Counsel to become the organisation's go-to resource for privacy law and ICT. In this role you answer questions about the content and application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You assess and negotiate processing agreements. You provide input for our product roadmap. You create and update industry-specific templates and models and (privacy) regulations. You advise on (reporting) data leaks. You assess and negotiate (IT) contracts.
Together with the Legal Counsel, you use your combined legal acumen to enlighten and inform (potential) customers about our stellar software solution and various privacy topics.
