Job Overview:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting and compliance functions. This role includes implementing effective financial and operational controls, also supporting strategic financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Financial Processes: Implement and optimize accounting, budgeting, and reporting systems, ensuring scalable processes across all entities.
Financial Management: Oversee accounting operations (A/R, A/P, GL, inventory, revenue recognition), prepare monthly financial statements, and manage budgets and forecasts.
Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, manage tax filings, and assist with audits.
Internal Controls: Develop and enforce financial controls and maintain accurate project records, especially for subsidies.
Strategic Support: Provide financial analysis to support capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with leadership to drive business decisions.
Cost Management: Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring budget accuracy and recommending cost-saving measures.
Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
Provide recommendations to optimize project performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).

5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a start-up or dynamic environment.
Hands-on experience setting up financial systems and processes from scratch.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting software(Excel proficiency required).
Experience in Dutch GAAP and ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
