At OrangeQS, we develop test and characterization solutions that help quantum chip makers scale up, shaping the future of quantum computing. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Office Manager who ensures everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. From maintaining a well-organized office to creating a great employee and visitor experience, you are the person who keeps things on track before others even realize they need attention.

What will you do?
As our Office Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our office and help create a professional, welcoming, and efficient workplace where colleagues can do their best work. You will also play an important role in bringing people together by organizing company events, team activities, and special occasions throughout the year.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating office facilities, vendors, and workplace services.
  • Supporting employees with practical and operational matters.
  • Running onboarding and visitor management.
  • Organizing company events and team activities, such as strategy days, celebrations, off-sites, and our annual Christmas dinner.
  • Providing administrative and operational support to the management team.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and workplace experience.

This is a highly hands-on role. While you will coordinate vendors, facilities, and office operations, you are also comfortable taking care of practical day-to-day matters yourself. Whether it’s arranging office supplies, making sure the coffee machines are working, coordinating cleaning services, setting up meeting rooms, or transporting materials between our locations, you enjoy making things happen and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed.

No two days are the same. You will move easily between planning, organizing, communicating, and problem-solving.

What does a typical day look like?
You arrive at the office and start by making sure everything is ready for the day ahead. A supplier is scheduled to visit, a new employee is starting next week, and the coffee machine needs servicing. You coordinate the necessary actions, respond to questions from colleagues, and make sure the office is fully stocked.

As the morning progresses, you shift between operational and administrative tasks. You review invoices, arrange travel for a team member attending a conference, coordinate a maintenance request, and prepare the workspace and access credentials for a new hire. You are often the go-to person when something needs to be arranged, fixed, ordered, or improved.

After lunch, you might welcome visitors, walk through the office to check that everything is in order, meet with a vendor, or work on an upcoming company event such as a strategy day, team activity, or Christmas dinner. You enjoy creating an environment where people feel supported and where the practical details are taken care of.

By the end of the day, colleagues have what they need and everything is in place for another productive day.

Who are you?
You are a proactive organizer who enjoys bringing structure to a dynamic environment. You take ownership, work independently, and have a natural service-oriented mindset.

You also bring:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an Office Manager, Facilities Manager, Operations Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • A hands-on, pragmatic approach and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

You understand that creating a great workplace experience often comes down to getting the practical details right. This is not a desk-based role; we are looking for someone who enjoys being visible in the office, taking ownership, and making sure things get done.

What do we offer?

  • A key role within an innovative and fast-growing quantum technology scale-up.
  • Plenty of room for initiative, ownership, and professional growth.
  • An international working environment with highly motivated colleagues.
  • The opportunity to make a visible impact on the daily operations of the company.
  • The chance to help shape both our workplace experience and company culture.
  • An inspiring workplace in Delft at the forefront of technological innovation.
  • A part-time position of 24-32 hours per week, spread across 4-5 working days.
  • A salary of up to €3.600 gross per month based on a full-time (40-hour) work week, paid pro rata for your contracted hours, plus 8% holiday allowance. Your exact salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • A 5% pension contribution paid in addition to your gross monthly salary.

Interested?
If you enjoy creating an efficient workplace, supporting colleagues, and taking ownership of the countless details that keep an organization running, we would like to hear from you.
