Where you will be working?
Depending on organization maturity, you work either within the Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) team or Design and Engineering (D&E) team in the Rotterdam office, report with a dotted line to the CEO.
What will you be doing?
You take responsibility for product safety, and ensure compliance to applicable safety standards and regulations for our products during all phases of its lifecycle. You do so by working in close cooperation with Design and Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Program Management teams. You liaise with the Safety Officer, who takes care of the Occupational Health & Safety (ARBO) side of safety, and together you cover all aspects of safety within the company.
The most important aspects of the function:
Safeguard that our products can be built, installed, operated and serviced safely. Approve product and tooling regarding safety. This involves both design documents, as well as procedures to build, install, and maintain our product;
Foster a safety culture during our product development and industrialization processes, and emphasize safety competence buildup at key positions within our organization;
Maintain and roll out the Product Safety Policy, and ensure controls are in place to secure product safety during design, validation, and release or our product. It also includes identification and mitigation of risks in our way of working.
