We are seeking a Finance Manager to strengthen and eventually lead our internal finance operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, international team, take ownership of financial processes, and eventually grow into the Head of Finance role as we scale. Our office is located in the heart of Rotterdam, in a vibrant and creative area with easy access to public transport. Your Role
As Finance Manager, you will work closely with our founders and finance team to oversee and improve financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Operations & Compliance
Handle Dutch/EU VAT filings and ensure regulatory compliance
Maintain internal monthly/yearly budgets, forecasts, and P&L analysis
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial and statistics reports (Intrastat/CBS)
Recalculate WKR costs and validate payroll entries
Accounting & Reconciliations
Lead AP/AR reconciliations and ensure accurate bookkeeping
Verify bank and platform accounts (AMEX, Rabobank, PayPal)
Reconcile entries between Exact Online and Odoo ERP systems
Investigate overdue and missing invoices and resolve discrepancies or duplicates
Process Improvement & Strategic Contribution
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Support founders with financial insights, cost analysis, and investment recommendations
Assist in scaling finance operations, including preparing for international expansion
Growth into Head of Finance
Eventually take full ownership of internal finance operations
Lead external advisors and manage potential future finance team
Contribute to strategic company decisions from a financial perspective
What We’re Looking For
2-3+ years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in startups or scale-ups
Strong knowledge of Dutch/EU VAT filings and financial compliance
Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
Takes initiative, solves problems independently, and brings forward ideas
Communicates clearly and structures thoughts effectively
Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities
Enjoys collaborating with a young, driven, and international team
Ambition to grow into a leadership role (Head of Finance)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Exact Online, Odoo, or similar ERP/accounting software
Experience in fast-growing, international companies

What We Offer
Salary: €2.800 – €3.200 monthly gross, depending on experience.
