Innatera is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking for a Field Application Engineer to become a cornerstone of our customer-facing technical team. This role bridges engineering and customer success: you’ll work closely with prospects and customers across pre-sales and post-sales engagements, support internal development efforts, and provide technical insight that shapes our roadmap. This is a high-impact role that combines embedded systems knowledge with real-world application of AI and machine learning on cutting-edge hardware. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, and commercial teams to make customer success a reality.

• Becoming an expert user of Innatera’s technology and serving as a trusted technical resource for your assigned customer base

• Assisting customers in accelerating their adoption and integration of Innatera’s solutions into their products and workflows

• Delivering workshops and technical training sessions in collaboration with engineering teams to onboard and educate customers

• Providing responsive and hands-on technical support, addressing customer questions and guiding application development

• Translating customer feedback into actionable insights for continuous product and SDK/EDK improvement

• Collaborating closely with the SDK/EDK, architecture, and product teams to align customer needs with technical development

• Supporting Sales and Program Management teams by providing engineering insight during customer engagements and deal cycles

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field

• Solid understanding of how AI and ML work, with the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world edge AI applications

• Strong programming skills in C and Python

• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

• Experince with supporting pre-sales and post-sales activities from a technical standpoint, ideally across global markets (e.g., US, Asia)

• Experience working directly with customers to close deals by providing strong technical validation and support

• Proficiency in Linux environments for development and deployment

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of electrical circuits.

• Familiarity with edge AI or neuromorphic computing technologies

• Exposure to SDK/EDK tooling or embedded development platforms

• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset, with the ability to understand and translate technical needs into real solutions

• A high level of ownership, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure

• Proactive attitude with a strong sense of curiosity, willing to dive deep into new technologies and applications
  Ability to switch contexts quickly, work autonomously, and collaborate across cross-functional teams

• Organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of follow-through and execution

• A natural inclination for problem-solving and continuous learning, especially in emerging tech domains
