Purpose of the Job

A Producer within the Production discipline is responsible for managing and executing the creation of products or projects from start to finish. This role is crucial in aligning all aspects of a project with the team's goals and the organization's overall objectives. Producers act as the central point of coordination, facilitating communication among cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

As a critical component of the Production discipline, Producers serve as the pivotal link between Product and Engineering teams, as well as towards other key stakeholders, such as Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support teams. They transform a broad set of creative wants into a structured and prioritized roadmap, providing clarity and direction. Producers typically wear the role of Delivery Lead on a Product Group, Product Initiative, or Product Team, managing the work ingestion process, setting timelines, and guiding projects from inception to completion.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy and Planning
  • Execute production strategies in collaboration with the Production Director, Group/Initiative Product Lead and other senior leaders
  • Implement, and optimize production processes to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
  • Facilitate the creation of Product Roadmaps, as led by a Product Group or Product Initiative, ensuring alignment with product or project goals and timelines
Communication Facilitation
  • Act as the main point of contact for cross-functional teams, facilitating clear and effective communication among stakeholders.
Project Management

  • Ensure that teams work towards aligned goals, maintaining schedules, quality, budgets, and resources
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Transform a broad set of creative wants into a structured and prioritized roadmap, providing clarity and direction.
  • Manage the work ingestion process, set timelines, and oversee the execution of project deliverables.
Quality Assurance

  • Implement and enforce quality standards throughout to meet the organization's evolving needs
  • Continuously monitor and improve processes to enhance product quality and efficiency
Team Leadership
  • Lead and empower product or project teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Promote a positive work environment that supports a healthy work/life balance
  • Support team members by providing guidance, resolving conflicts, and removing obstacles to ensure smooth project flow.
Resource Management

  • Allocate resources effectively within their Product Group’s Initiatives to ensure timely delivery of projects/products while maintaining high quality
  • Manage the project or product’s production budget, including software and conference expenses
  • Ensure that all necessary tools and systems are available and functioning optimally
  • Performance Monitoring
  • Track development metrics and project performance, providing insights and updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Monitor customer feedback and project outcomes to identify areas for enhancement, in close alignment with the Product Lead or a Group Product Lead

Your profile

Experience / Knowledge
  • Proven experience in a production management, product owner, or project manager role, preferably within a technology or gaming company
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and improve production processes
  • A strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
Education
  • HBO/bachelor's degree (or thinking level)
