At Gradyent we're looking for a Business Development Associate - Industry to join our team.

Providing heating and cooling for homes, buildings and industry accounts for roughly 50% of global energy consumption. Smart production, exchange and consumption of heat in heating grids is the most significant opportunity for cities and industries to decarbonise. Yet, as heating grids transform towards renewables, they become increasingly complex and require a new approach to control and design.
Gradyent is a leading software provider that helps cities and heavy industry decarbonise faster by digitising, optimising, and transforming their heat networks with our Digital Twin. We are scaling the platform globally and looking for a driven Business Development Associate to help us scale in the industrial sector. Our team has doubled in the past two years and we’re positioned for continued growth.
Who You Are
This new position plays an important role to help us scale in the industrial market. It fits very well to entrepreneurial high-calibre young professionals that are excited about commercialisation of high-tech solutions and look to make sustainable impact.
Whether you have a degree in business or engineering, or you’re a quick learner with an entrepreneurial mindset, you love to build and are ready to help us with our mission and grow. You’re a passionate and adaptable individual with excellent communication skills. You have a knack for connecting with people and can nurture professional relationships.
You are tech-savvy, analytical, fast learning, proactive, and results-driven. You can easily digest complex ideas and distill it into simple messaging. You love building business with high-tech solutions.
What You Bring
- 1-3 years of experience in business development, consultancy or sales.
- BSc, MSc, or higher with excellent results and an affinity for high-tech solutions
- Demonstrated, intrinsic motivation to tackle climate change through technology and innovation.
- You are fluent in English.
- You have commercial acumen and enjoy working with and interacting with clients.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you enjoy initiating and driving projects to completion.
- You are technologically savvy: you enjoy working with and learning about high-tech solutions and can translate technical subjects into commercially relevant material.
- You can work cross-functionally with members from different teams.
- You enjoy working in an international environment and traveling abroad.
Bonus Points
- You understand what it takes to be successful in a scale-up environment.
- You are fluent in German or Dutch.
