Solutions Engineer - Nordics
\nWho we are
\n
\nA quarter of all energy in the world is consumed to heat buildings. District heating is the most significant opportunity for cities to decarbonise. \nWe currently have a team of 60+ people and offices in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Germany and Hungary. We are expanding quickly and looking for a Solutions Engineer with fluent Norwegian, Finnish, or Swedish language skills to help us in the Nordic market.
What we do
\nWhat You Will Do
\nYou will support customer projects and work directly with clients to onboard their heating networks or execute specialised heating and analytics consulting projects. This means working with (mainly) sizeable international energy and utilities companies and supporting each project from start to finish. Your responsibilities involve performing data analysis, prototyping new product functionalities, preparing workshops, and customer interviews, validating customer information, and working with other departments in Gradyent. In addition, you will work directly with the COO and Solutions Leads in the Customer Solutions & Operations Team.
\nIn addition, you will also be working on the following:
\n- \n
- You will work closely with clients from the biggest energy companies in Europe and the Nordics. You will work together to gather data, analyse it, and discuss findings in workshops. \n
- You understand the challenges and optimisation opportunities in our client's networks (deep dive into district heating knowledge and the historical sensor data to make sense of the network and its essential elements). \n
- You will enable clients to successfully adopt our software to reduce CO2 emissions and costs. \n
- You will gather and prepare the customer's data (GIS, sensor data, etc.) – this requires you to perform some Python coding and GIS processing (visual). \n
- You will use our analytics to find new insights and solutions for our customers. \n
- You will configure and run the correct reports that provide actionable insights. \n
- You will train customers and develop training materials to ensure adoption. \n
- You make every project a success by proactively planning, managing, and communicating. \n
- You conduct project planning and manage the dependencies and actions. \n
- You will engage customer stakeholders in project meetings, workshops, and read-outs. \n
- You will coordinate with other departments within Gradyent to ensure complete delivery. \n
- You will help to improve Gradyent's proposition and service offering and develop scalable operations. \n
- You will represent the voice of the customer when we build new product features. \n
- You will develop replicable and scalable methods to provide insights quickly. \n
Who you are
\nPlease keep in mind: Proficiency in either Norwegian, Swedish, or Finnish is required for this role - either native or fluent.
\n- \n
- BSc, MSc or higher, preferably in engineering, data analytics, mathematics, econometrics, or computer science. \n
- 0-3 years of working experience in energy/analytics, preferably in a client-facing role. \n
- Proactive and pragmatic problem-solver with a passion for analytics. \n
- Effective collaborator and strong client engagement capabilities. \n
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing scope. \n
- You know how to communicate about risks and uncertainties. \n
- You're able to ask for help and signal delays early. \n
- Strong personal developer, open to feedback, embracing opportunities to grow. \n
- You live in either Netherlands or Scandinavia (but we are also open to candidates living in the rest of the European Union.)
\n \n
Find yourself checking a lot of these boxes but doubting whether you should apply? At Gradyent, we support a growth mindset for our teams through all stages of their careers. If you meet some of the requirements and you share our values, we encourage you to apply. As part of our ongoing commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, we’re invested in building teams with a wide variety of backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
What we offer
\n- \n
- A very ambitious scale-up: just raised Series A from an international consortium of investors in the sustainable energy industry. \n
- The opportunity to directly impact sustainability and the energy transition in a senior role. \n
- Being part of a mission to make the world more sustainable by reducing losses in heating: the most significant opportunity for cities to decarbonise. \n
- A competitive salary with a variable incentive on top. \n
- An excellent benefits package and fantastic team events. \n
- A great scale-up dynamic with a high-performance culture while having fun (drinks, offsites, sports events). \n
- Flexible work locations, either hybrid from Rotterdam and Berlin or remote from the Nordics.
\n \n - We invest in your personal growth – the team is competent at coaching, mentoring and development, entirely focused on you (and not on completing some rusty HR process). \n
- Get unique opportunities to shape your path in a fast-growing team. \n
Do you want to join our team as our new Solutions Engineer - Nordics? Then we'd love to hear from you!
\nWe do not accept any unsolicited resumes from professional staffing/recruitment companies.
