We're looking for a Senior HR Manager to join our team on an initial 12-month contract.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Management
- Lead end-to-end hiring processes including sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, and vetting candidates.
- Identify, assess, and manage relationships with recruitment agencies, ensuring quality standards and negotiating favorable terms.
- Plan workforce needs in collaboration with leadership to meet future hiring demands.
Contract, Policy & Compliance Management
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts and HR-related legal documents.
- Prepare all onboarding and contract documentation for new hires, ensuring accurate record keeping.
- Maintain communication with accountants regarding new hires, salary changes, and related payroll updates.
- Read, interpret, and stay up to date with local hiring laws, proactively advising management on changes or compliance risks.
Employee Relations & Retention
- Act as the first point of contact for internal HR matters, resolving issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Support conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and maintain onboarding programs to integrate new hires effectively.
- Create and implement retention strategies to improve employee engagement and reduce turnover.
Operational & Process Support
- Assist the COO with operational HR tasks, strategic planning, and special projects.
- Develop and refine HR processes, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Align HR strategies with company goals and culture.
Performance & Development
- Implement and maintain a structured performance review framework.
- Work with managers to define career paths, development plans, and training opportunities.
Risk & Crisis Management
- Handle sensitive situations such as redundancies, misconduct investigations, or disputes with legal and reputational awareness.
Compliance, Reporting & HR Systems
- Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring compliance with labor laws and data protection requirements.
- Prepare HR metrics and reports for leadership review.
- Lead HRIS lifecycle, from research to implementation and management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior HR management role (5+ years) with both strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in HR management.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and contract management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage external recruitment agencies and negotiate service agreements.
- Experience building and improving HR processes, policies, and retention programs.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret local hiring laws, proactively informing management of relevant updates.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
- Proficiency with HRIS and HR reporting tools.
- Experience working closely with executive leadership (COO/CEO) is a strong plus.
- Fluency in both English and Dutch is essential.
