Founded in 2020, DuckDuckGoose is a fast growing and innovative company operating from the Netherlands. Our key mission is to protect the society against deepfake and identity threats by providing innovative technology solutions. We have managed to successfully grow the company to 15 people today, with our clients spread across the globe.

We aim to realise a digital environment in which we can trust what we see. The emergence of deepfakes means that everything we see and hear digitally can be manipulated. To ensure everyone's autonomy to determine what's true, we are developing insightful deepfake detection software. Our software is not only able to classify a certain image or video as real or fake but also provides insight into why that content has been classified as

manipulated.

Machine Learning Engineer

As we are growing our company due to the significant increase of our client base, and to support with our product initiatives, we’re currently looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer. You will be based in the Netherlands, be part of an amazing team of 5 Engineers and report into the Artificial Intelligence Lead. You will play a critical role in developing and optimising our deepfake detection capabilities and your work will span

across multiple modalities, including images, video, and speech.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Research, design, and implement state-of-the-art neural networks tailored for deepfake detection and analysis of images, videos, and speech.
• Contribute to the development of explainable AI for deepfake detection.
• Collaborate with the Data scientists and Software engineers colleagues to integrate your models into production systems.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and computer vision to ensure our technology remains at the forefront.

You have

• Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science or a related technical field
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience or a relevant PhD in this field
• Proven experience with Python programming, and experience with the use of Machine Learning libraries such as PyTorch or Tensorflow
• Experience in developing deep learning models for images, video, and speech, with a specific focus on deepfake detection
• Experience with classification problems where differences between classes is minimal is a plus
• Experience in cyber security is a nice to have
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovation and cutting-edge technology
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly communicate
• Ability to undertake and complete tasks independently, meet schedules and delivery timelines
• Fluent English language skills is required
