We are seeking a highly motivated Project Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Project Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects from initiation to completion, contributing to the success of our organisation and our mission to redefine near-space transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Be a key partner to our Project Manager in all aspects of project management, from planning to execution and closure, ensuring smooth project delivery.
• Collaborate with our talented team members to gather project requirements, provide administrative support, and facilitate seamless communication among stakeholders.
• Help create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate and schedule project meetings, prepare engaging agendas, and capture valuable meeting minutes to keep the team aligned and informed.
• Monitor project progress, track project timelines, and report on project status, making sure projects stay on track and deadlines are met.
• Proactively identify potential risks and assist in the development of risk mitigation strategies, contributing to the success of projects and ensuring their smooth progress.
• Support the procurement process by assisting with vendor selection, obtaining competitive quotes, and building strong vendor relationships.
• Be an advocate for quality assurance, reviewing project deliverables to ensure they meet high standards and contribute to overall project success.
• Assist in managing project changes, including change requests, scope changes, and issue resolution, showing your adaptability and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate on the successful closure of projects by preparing final reports, conducting project evaluations, and preserving valuable project documents for future reference.

Our mission is to enable the next generation of space users by providing more sustainable and scalable ways to access and move around in space. We believe this access, in the form of a transportation network, will fundamentally change what’s possible from space. We currently focus on two areas of space transportation:

- In-space propulsion
We're a leading supplier of turnkey green propulsion systems for various classes of satellites. Our system utilise safe, accessible propellants and we have over 50 of these propulsion units on 12 operational satellites already. A further 200 units are in production.

- Space launch
Our Mk-II Aurora spaceplane demonstrator has completed 50 successful flights and we recently completed the first campaign utilising rocket engines. Mk-II is unique in that it combines the performance of a rocket and the rapid reusability and economic model of an aircraft.

Our international teams are distributed across three locations: New Zealand, the Netherlands, and the USA.
