Summary of Role:
The EMEA HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting employees and ensuring smooth HR operations for Command Alkon’s Netherlands and France entities, while contributing to broader EMEA initiatives. This role has a heavy focus on payroll processing for the Netherlands and France, including compliance with local labor and tax regulations, but will also oversee the full HR lifecycle.
This position requires adaptability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, collaborating with global People Team colleagues to align local practices with company-wide strategies.
How You’ll Succeed:
· Payroll Management (NL & FR focus):
- Lead accurate and timely payroll processing for employees in the Netherlands and France.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements.
- Manage payroll records and reporting, partnering with an external payroll provider.
- Drive process improvements.
- Monitor regulations and recommend changes to maintain compliance and best practices.
· HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle:
- Manage day-to-day administration of HR tasks, including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, employee records, and policy application.
- Support benefits administration, time & attendance tracking, and leave management.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
· Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure HR practices align with local and EU labor laws.
- Proactively review policies and procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
· Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Act as a key HR contact for employees in the Netherlands and France, building trust and fostering a positive employee experience.
- Support initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and professional growth.
· Collaboration & Global HR Support:
- Partner with the broader EMEA and global People Team to align practices, share insights, and contribute to HR initiatives.
- Liaise with external vendors and advisors (legal, payroll, benefits, etc.) to ensure high-quality service delivery.
What You Bring:
- 3–5+ years of experience in administrative or HR roles, with direct involvement in HR and payroll-related tasks in a multinational environment.
- Working knowledge of employee data management, payroll coordination, regulatory compliance, and employment administration in Netherlands and France.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Experience using HRIS, payroll systems, or other business platforms to maintain and process employee information.
- Attention to detail with the ability to solve problems, analyze data, identify discrepancies, and drive process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with employees, managers, and external partners across multiple levels and cultures.
- Fluency in Dutch, French, and English required; ability to work effectively across cultures and regions.
