Main responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with ASA-100 and AS9120 standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with relevant aviation regulations.

  • Lead the non-conformance investigation processes, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and maintain a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.

  • Provide guidance and support to departments on QHSE-related matters, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety training.

  • Monitor and analyze QHSE performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management for review and decision-making.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement of QHSE management systems.

What we ask from you:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Certification in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) and Health & Safety (e.g., Nederlands Instituut voor Arbeidsveiligheid (NIA)) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the aviation industry, particularly within a parts distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and occupational health & safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
  • Familiarity with aviation supply chain management processes and supplier quality management.
  • Experience in leading and facilitating QHSE training programs and workshops.
  • The role may require occasional travel to various company sites, supplier facilities, or industry events for audits, inspections, or training purposes. Flexibility regarding travel requirements is essential.
  • Fluency in English: As English is the predominant language of aviation, proficiency in English is typically essential for communication with regulatory authorities, suppliers, and international stakeholders.
  • Technical and Regulatory Language: A strong understanding of technical terminology and regulatory language specific to the aviation industry is crucial for interpreting and implementing QHSE standards, regulations, and documentation.
  • The QHSE Manager needs to demonstrate flexibility in their work hours to accommodate organizational needs. This could involve occasional evening or weekend work, especially during periods of heightened activity, such as audits, inspections, or emergency response situations.
  • The QHSE Manager must be adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing diverse aspects of QHSE management.

  • A competitive fulltime monthly salary between EUR 4800 – 6500.

  • A 12 month contract, with an intention to extend this for an indefinite contract.
